33.5” circumference, Spiral-Lock web, open back, deep Akadema Pro Thunderpocket designed for the professional catcher. With new patent pending "Stress Wedge" technology, located between the index finger and thumb, the Praying Mantis offers shock absorbing protection for the hand against injury and sting when receiving the ball. The Praying Mantis also offers two additional "Finger Hammocks" allowing the fingers to be firmly positioned and more secure in the glove. Additional features include the "Double-sided Slim Padding" allowing for increased pocket size and easier ball retention. Uniquely designed shape allows the throwing hand easier access into the pocket, resulting in a quicker glove to hand transfer and faster times to second base. 33” circumference, Praying Mantis Pattern, The latest glove series by Akadema uses Precision Kip leather that is 20% lighter and tighter grained than steerhide. The hides are harvested in Europe and tanned in Japan. The gloves are more pliable, easier to break in and have more tensile strength then our competitors glove lines.

12” pattern, Spiral-Lock web, open back with pitcher’s finger sleeve, and deep pocket. Designed for the professional pitcher, the ASL-20 features Akadema’s patent-pending Stress-Wedge technology located in between the thumb and index finger to protect a pitcher’s hand from screamers hit back up the box. With a deep pocket to conceal a pitcher’s hand and wrist position and a Spiral-Lock web to hide every seem on the baseball, the ASL-20 also features an index finger sleeve to ensure a pitcher is not tipping off his pitches by the position of his index finger. Includes Akadema’s exclusive Reinforced Pocket Design and Straight-Lace Finger Design adding more strength and durability to the pocket.
